Joe Mitchell is the Republican nominee for Iowa's 2nd Congressional District, endorsed by President Donald Trump. A former Iowa state representative who made history as Iowa's youngest-ever legislator when first elected at age 20 in 2018, Mitchell is a developer by trade and served in various roles with the Trump Administration, including working on rolling back Biden-era mortgage regulations. He founded Run GenZ, a national nonprofit recruiting young conservatives to run for local and state office, and became the youngest resident fellow in Harvard University history. His campaign centers on fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, border security, supporting Iowa farmers and ethanol, and working alongside President Trump.
