Steve Laffey is a former Mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island, investment banker, and author of "primarying" the Republican establishment. He ran for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination on a platform focused on fixing America's national debt, reforming entitlement programs, and shaking up a political system he argues is rigged against ordinary Americans. Laffey previously ran for U.S. Senate in Rhode Island in 2006 and has been a persistent outsider voice in Republican politics.
